Archeological Site at Wat Ban Kan Lueang, Ubon Ratchatani, Thailand

ubon-woodJust North of Road 231 on the North side of the Ring Road. Words like Prehistoric are bandied about, but much information has been translated to English and some of it raises more questions than are answered. I wonder why the second pit has been eliminated. At the wat is also an old wooden Ubosot that know one to include the monk I spoke with seemed to have a clue about. There is a small building across from the excavation that has a few more articles and the usual fortune machine.
This place is well worth a visit when touring Ubon. As I have said before traffic in Ubon is a big minus, but timing your trips, using the efficient taxi service and using the  plentiful baht buses makes experiencing Ubon City for a few days a pleasant experience
