Venerable Ãcariya Mun Bhuridatta Thera, A Spiritual Biography, The Middle Years,by Ãcariya Mahã Boowa Ñyannasampanno

I have been using Ajahn Mahã Boowa’s book Venerable Ãcariya MunBhuridatta Thera— A Spiritual Biography —, as well as others searching out places of interest in the lives of the Forest Monks of Ajahn Mun’s lineage, PDFs make things much easier as I can search for words in the entire book. When I had the real deal in my hand all I could do was highlight wors and or put notes in the computer. This excerpt helped me find a number of places  ÃCARIYA MUN lived for three or four years in the area of Ban SamPhong village in Sri Songkhram district, Nakhon Phanom province. He spent one year at Ban Huay Sai village in Kham Cha-ee district of the same province, as well as the villages of Nong Sung and Khok Klang.  Kham Cha-ee district is now part of Mukdahan Province.

Ajahn Mun was in his mid 40s when he came to the village where young Tapai, as mae chee kaew was then called, lived with her Phu Thai family. The villagers built a wat at nong nong, or small pond just outside the village where ajahn Mun and about 12 monks spent the next few rains retreats. we visited the wat, it’s supporters and 2 bhikkhus. You can see that it is still kept in a manner that Ajahn Mun would approve and supported by local village people
