Ajahn Jayasaro, Buddhist Education 5

Once again Ajahn hits the nail right on the head. In a country where cheating is rife and there is little respect for teachers or honesty this series on Buddhist education is more than simply important, it is a necessary transfusion that is needed. Just read “Perspectives on cheating at a Thai University” or  DSI says cheating rife in teacher exams, Recommends government scrap results or simply do a Google search yourself to read the 1,000s of articles. What is the role of teachers in Buddhist education? In what context and under what circumstances do teachers become  ‘learners’? What is special about the relationship between teachers and students in Buddhist education?
I hope you find this 5th Episode of interest, not just for formal education, but in teaching and learning throughout our lives.
