The Lam Pao Reservoir is not at a level that local farmers might appreciate and are being told not to plant a second rice crop. When full the water w nearly reaches road level and during the dry seasson one can drive about 10 to 12 piers out. The 2 car ferrys that used to transport vehicles from shore to shore now serve as restaurants. The rectangular plots in the reservoir are fish farms and there are 100s of them. Finally I was a bit nervous about the bird surveillance that seemed to be taking place.
